A second atmospheric river within a week is bringing rain, strong winds, and more potential flooding to the region. Here’s what you need to know.
Washington is grappling with record-breaking flooding, devastating so much of our community.
KIRO 7’s Pinpoint Meteorologists issued a Pinpoint Alert Day for Tuesday, warning pass travelers about potentially snowy travel through all the Cascades passes later in the day.
Rain will begin around the Everett-Seattle-Tacoma areas between 3–4 p.m., right as trick-or-treaters are heading out.
Expect some showers early, with drier weather coming this afternoon. We’ll see more sunshine later today and the next few days, with cooler conditions overnight and maybe even some frost.
An Air Quality Alert is in effect for King and Snohomish Counties until Wednesday at noon, with pockets of unhealthy air at times.
One more PinPoint Alert Day for the heat today. We’ll be cooler tomorrow with more clouds. Some mountain t-storms are possible late-day. Air quality will be in the moderate range again, unhealthy for sensitive groups. We could see a few passing showers late Wednesday into early Thursday.
We’ll be slightly cooler today, but ramp up another degree or so on Tuesday. Air quality is in the moderate range now, expect to see smoke and haze. We’ll see partly sunny to mostly sunny conditions today. Mtn. t-storms are possible tomorrow and Wednesday, and a few of those showers could move over the lowlands on Wednesday with much cooler weather.
Expect a very warm stretch of weather for Western Washington starting on Friday and lasting well into next week.
