SAN JUAN COUNTY, Wash. — A group of children riding on a school bus is safe following a crash Tuesday afternoon on Orcas Island.
The incident occurred about two and a half miles from the ferry dock in the 300 block of Orcas Road.
San Juan County deputies got a report that a bus left the road.
A photo that deputies posted showed the aftermath with what appeared to be a bus hitting a tree.
Deputies did not say what led to the crash or how the driver was doing.
The incident is under investigation.
