3 burned after explosion in Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, Wash. — Crews are taking three people to Harborview Medical Center after they received burns in an explosion Wednesday night in Lakewood.

West Pierce Fire officials said the explosion happened in the 15200 block of Fern Street Southwest in the Tillicum neighborhood.

Lakewood police said this was an RV explosion and it was not suspicious.

The investigation is ongoing.
