At least 2,000 sheep were not sheepish as they moved early Tuesday on Blewett Pass to new grazing land.
A timelapse video tweeted by the Washington State Department of Transportation gives you an idea what it took to move the sheep.
WSDOT said its crews acts as crossing guards for the sheep as several shepherds and “several very good dogs” handle and move the animals.
The movement of the sheep happens twice a year on Blewett Pass.
Good Tuesday morning! Going to need another cup of coffee after counting so many sheep first thing in the morning. Twice a year we act as crossing guards on Blewett Pass for 2000 sheep, a few shepherds, and several very good dogs when the sheep move to new grazing la-a-a-a-and. pic.twitter.com/DClyQGJiUM
