PASCO, Wash. — Two Pasco officers were stabbed, and a suspect is dead after police shot him Saturday night.
The incident happened at about 8:05 p.m. in the 2100 block of North 18th Avenue.
According to the Associated Press, the officers were investigating a crime when they were stabbed by a man.
Both officers were taken to the hospital for treatment. Surgery was performed on one officer who is expected to be OK, police said.
The second officer suffered minor wounds to his face and was treated and released.
Police did not say what led up to the incident.
The special investigation unit has taken over the investigation, Pasco police said.
The name of the suspect is expected to be released by the coroner’s office.
The officers’ names have not been released.
