Kirkland Police announced they had arrested three people in connection with a homicide at a park last year.
On Sept. 16, 18-year-old Cyrus Mason was shot multiple times at Houghton Beach Park, and he died from his injuries.
According to investigators, the park was an agreed meeting place to make a firearms transaction.

According to investigators, the park was an agreed meeting place to make a firearms transaction.
Police determined three people were involved in the case, and they were arrested Thursday.
In an interview with KIRO 7, Cyrus’s mother said no amount of preparation made her ready for the news of the arrests.
“When (the detective) told me, I fell to my knees and cried. I’m overwhelmed emotionally,” said Sarahnova Mason.
Two teens and a man were taken into custody, police said. They were booked into the King County Jail. All were charged with first-degree murder.
Mason said she believed the suspects took advantage of her son’s innocence.
She said her son had just moved to the Seattle area after spending his entire life in rural Idaho, so when he decided to meet a group of people for a gun transaction, she believes Cyrus wouldn’t have seen the danger.
“We’re old school,” she told KIRO 7. “(Where we come from), literally, a handshake seals the deal and you know a man’s word is his word and he’s gonna keep it.”
Mason said she plans on attending every court appearance for the people accused of killing her son.
Despite everything, she preached a message of compassion for the suspects’ parents.
“I’m so, so heartbroken for their families because I’m not the only one affected by this. There’s three other mothers out there.”
According to Mason, a big thing that helped crack this case was a trail of evidence on social media, especially conversations that the suspects had on Snapchat.
