AUBURN, Wash. — A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered after 15 handguns were stolen during an Auburn burglary last week.
Authorities say a man used bolt cutters and a pry bar to break into the Coastal Farm and Ranch at about 4 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
After stealing the guns, the man left in a waiting SUV driven by a second person.
The man who stole the pistols was recorded by a surveillance camera. He is believed to be about 6 feet tall, 160 pounds, with light skin, a larger nose and thick eyebrows. He was wearing a black-and-white plaid jacket, True Religion jeans and Nike Air Foamposite One metallic gold shoes.
The suspects left in a 2013 or newer dark blue compact or midsize SUV - possibly a Mazda CX-5 or Ford Edge - with chrome window trim, running boards and aluminum rims. It was missing its front license plate.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the people involved in the crime, and the recovery of the guns. The National Shooting Sports Foundation, the trade association for the firearms industry, is matching the reward.
The ATF said the guns are most likely still in the area.
