KIRKLAND, Wash. - Police in Kirkland are working to find the person(s) responsible for posting neo-Nazi flyers on the door of the Holy Spirit Lutheran Church.

The flyers were found June 30 at the church located in the 10000 block of NE 124th Street.

The pastor of the church asked KIRO 7 to blur the flyer because of its violent imagery and language about refugees.

Also on June 30, the same message was posted at Kenmore’s Northlake Lutheran Church.

"An act like that is an act of violence. The language of white supremacy is the language of violence and we very much want this to be a place of love and peace and justice and a place where our neighbors and our community know that they are safe," Pastor Katy McCallum told KIRO 7.

Pastor McCallum said she doesn’t know why they were targeted but made it clear the church’s message of love and inclusion will not change.

The church turned over surveillance video of the incident to Kirkland police to help with the investigation.
