Two separate construction projects are happening in the Montlake neighborhood this weekend, said the Washington State Department of Transportation.
Montlake Bridge
- On Saturday and Sunday, March 11 and 12, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Montlake Bridge will be down to just one open lane in each direction.
- This is for bridge maintenance work.
Montlake Boulevard
- On Friday, March 10 at 10 p.m. to Monday, March 13 at 5 a.m., East Montlake Place East, commonly known as Montlake Boulevard, will be closed between East Louisa Street and Lake Washington Boulevard.
- It’s part of the SR 520 Montlake project. Crews will be installing a crucial draining system, removing trees, and repaving the road.
- Although it’s a small closure, WSDOT warns the impact will be big for the Montlake neighborhood.
