A report from the
found that Puget Sound has eight of the top 100 worst traffic bottlenecks in the nation.
One of the worst bottleneck spots in the country is the interchange of State Route 18 and State Route 167 in Auburn.
Tacoma at Interstate 5 and State Route 16 also made the list, as did the I-90 interchange at I-5 in Seattle and state Route 18 at I-5 in Federal Way.
The ATRI collected GPS data from trucks to arrive at the list and has monitored 250 nationwide locations since 2002.
