SEATTLE — The Seattle Kraken made their picks in the NHL Expansion Draft on Wednesday and now know which teams they will be playing for the upcoming regular season.
The NHL released the schedule for the 2021-2022 season on Thursday, and the Kraken will start their inaugural season with a five-game road trip.
They’ll start Oct. 12 against the Vegas Golden Knights, then head to Nashville, Columbus, Philadelphia and New Jersey.
After their road trip, the Kraken will host their first home game at Climate Pledge Arena against division rivals, the Vancouver Canucks, on Oct. 23.
The Krakens will play 82 regular season games, and the season is scheduled to end April 29.
Start times and broadcast information will be released at a later date.
Preseason games will be played in Spokane, Everett and Kent.
