Seahawks' Bobby Wagner, Michael Dickson headed to Pro Bowl; 7 others named alternates

The Seahawks have two players heading to the Pro Bowl – one a perennial presence in the NFL’s version of an All-Star game, the other making his first appearance.

Linebacker Bobby Wagner has been named a Pro Bowler for the fifth time, while rookie punter Michael Dickson will join him on Jan. 27 in Orlando, Fla.

Wagner is tied for eighth in the NFL in tackles with 114, and this season he also has two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, one sack and an interception returned for a touchdown.

Dickson leads the NFL with an average of 48.9 yards per punt and punt net average of 44.2 yards. He also has a long punt of 69 yards (tied for fourth in the NFL) and 26 punts inside the 20-yard line (tied for seventh in the NFL).

The Seahawks also have seven Pro Bowl alternates: running back Chris Carson, defensive end Frank Clark, wide receiver/kick returner Tyler Lockett, safety Bradley McDougald, left guard J.R. Sweezy, quarterback Russell Wilson and linebacker K.J. Wright.
