Servais said earlier this summer that he would get a haircut to match Diaz’s if the closer got 50 saves on the season.
Diaz reached the feat Saturday in the 10th inning of the Mariners’ 4-3 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks.

With the save, Daiz became only the 17th player in MLB history with 50 saves in a season.
Diaz, 24, is a native of Puerto Rico and first appeared for the Mariners on June 4, 2016.

Servais spent 11 eleven seasons as a catcher in the MLB and became the Mariners’ manager on Sept. 28, 2015.
The Mariners enter Tuesday’s game against the San Diego Padres with a 74-57 record, good for third place in the American League West.
