SAN ANTONIO — A Texas centenarian celebrated his 100th birthday by getting the coronavirus vaccine.
Eugene Flores was among 75 residents at the Brookdale Hollywood Park senior living facility in San Antonio to get the Pfizer vaccine last week, KENS reported.
“I don’t have a whole lot of time left and I sure don’t want to cause anyone else problems before I go,” Flores said, glad to be part of the vaccination process that will ease the grip of the virus.
Flores was not intimidated by the vaccine.
“Eh, just like any other shot. Painless, easy, except when the needle went in,” Flores said.
He said he is grateful for the time he has lived and looks forward to many more years.
