GOOSE CREEK, S.C. — A South Carolina man will not likely be considered a criminal mastermind any time soon.
A picture circulating on a social media page for Goose Creek residents warned neighbors Tuesday about a man who was caught on camera throwing away an empty shipping box stolen from a porch nearby.
The following day the man appeared in court wearing the same shirt he was seen in while committing the crime, Goose Creek police said. It was unclear if he was in court because of the stolen packages, WYFF reported.
“Well, sometimes people actually do make our job easy,” Goose Creek police said on social media. “This guy decided to come into our courtroom the day after the first post was made and lucky for us he was even wearing the same shirt. We are happy to say he is in custody.”
His identity has not been released.
