Police in Tennessee arrest woman accused of firing shots after fight over wig

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police in Memphis said they have arrested a woman accused of shooting at another woman twice in a fight over a wig.

The victim went to police on March 26 and said she was shot at in the city, WHBQ reported. Court paperwork shows the victim identified Artavia Bynum as the shooter. The victim told police Bynum fired at her twice in a fight over a wig, with the bullets hitting the victim’s car.

Police interviewed Artavia Bynum two days later, and officers said that Bynum confessed to the shooting and fight, WHBQ reported.

Bynum was taken to the Shelby County Jail and faces charges of aggravated assault.
