According to a news release from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, Blake Allen Tokman, 34, of DeBary, was arrested early Friday. He was charged with two counts of burglary of an occupied burglary, three counts of battery on a law enforcement officer, criminal mischief, and resisting arrest with violence, according to Volusia County online booking records.

Deputies were called at about 2 a.m. EDT on Friday after a burglary was reported, WFTV reported. According to deputies, Tokman had smashed out the windows of one home and also broke into another home, according to the television station.

A responding deputy observed Tokman naked in the backyard of the second house, the sheriff’s office said. The suspect then allegedly jumped into the residence’s pool and then “leapt onto a trampoline,” where he laid flat but resisted arrest.

The sheriff’s office said that Tokman was allegedly covered in wheel-bearing grease, peppermint oil and blood. It took four deputies to subdue him, along with three additional medical workers who attempted to place him on a stretcher to evaluate his self-inflicted injuries.

Tokman was taken to an area hospital for an evaluation and was booked into the Volusia County Branch Jail, online court records show.

No defense attorney has been listed for Tokman, court records show.

DeBary is located between Daytona Beach and Orlando.
