Chabria Walls gave birth in October to Ja’Miracle, who was stillborn. On Thursday, the family received what they expected to be her cremains, WTMJ reported.

Father Rickey Woods opened the urn and found a certificate with another child’s name.

“I opened the box, and it wasn’t her. It was kind of devastating,” Woods said.

Walls said: “Ain’t no coming back from this. It hurts. I took a lot of losses last year. This is a times two.”

The family returned the cremains to Pitts Mortuary.

“I can’t accept it. I don’t know if that’s my child,” Walls said.

The funeral home said an employee put the wrong certificate in the box. That employee was fired and the funeral home apologized for the mistake. It said in 50 years, it has never run into an issue like this.

“I can forgive, but I will not forget. I won’t forget,” Walls said. “You just don’t do that. You don’t make those types of mistakes.”
