Tampa meteorologist Paul Dellegatto was on the tail end of such a situation when Brody, his golden retriever, made a cameo during a weather forecast last month.

“We are going to eat after this,” Dellegatto tells Brody midway through his report.

Dellegatto continues to deliver the forecast with Brody in his lap. The dog leaves to try to find the cameraman, who is positioned outside for social distancing.

A photo of Sparky, Dellegatto’s 12-year-old golden retriever who died last year, sits on the desk amid the turmoil.

"Everything about the video is so golden retriever," Dellegatto told Creative Loafing. "Hitting my computer screen, yawning, jumping on the window looking for (the cameraman). They are a great breed."

Dellegatto has since returned to the studio.
