GRAND CANYON, Ariz. — An Arizona man died Tuesday after falling about 80 feet while hiking at Grand Canyon National Park, authorities said Wednesday.
Jaiquan Carter, 23, of Phoenix, died while hiking at the park’s South Kaibab Trail, The Arizona Republic reported.
According to a news release, park rangers received a call at around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday reporting a fatality above the Black Bridge on the trail, KNXV reported.

Rangers found Carter and believe he was hiking when he fell from the trail, the news release stated.
An investigation is being conducted by the National Park Service and the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Officer, KTVK reported.
No additional information was available, the National Park Service stated in its release.
