Amazon will be expanding same-day delivery service to 11 new cities, increasing the number of markets in which it does so to 27, the company announced Wednesday.
Service will also expand in areas where it's already offered, including central New Jersey, Dallas-Fort Worth, Los Angeles and San Diego.
The service will remain unchanged in other cities in which it is currently available, including Atlanta, Boston, Orlando and Seattle.
“We keep making Prime better, and as our operational capabilities grow, we will continue to invent and expand delivery options that customers love,” said Greg Greeley, Amazon’s vice president of Prime, in a statement.
Per the terms and conditions, Amazon Prime promises to deliver members any orders that are made before the cutoff time, typically noon, by 9 p.m. local time.
An Amazon Prime membership is $99. Members also get access to streamed movies, TV shows and Amazon-original productions.
Amazon also offers one-hour and two-hour delivery on tens of thousands of items for Prime members via its Prime Now mobile app program, which is available in 25 cities.
