Thousands of Seahawks NFC Championship T-shirts being printed

SEATTLE — At Silk Screen Co. in Seattle, thousands of T-shirts are being printed -- T-shirts that almost never made it out of the box.

"We would be at home, probably doing dishes right about now,” said Sergio Dias with Silk Screen, where they printed NFL Players Association-licensed NFC Championship T-shirts all night.

"Came down to the second, get it printing or not,” he added.

Dias thought he would miss out on the lucrative contract to print Seahawks shirts.

So did his employee, lifelong Seahawks fan Martin Antich.

"To tell you the truth, on one of the interceptions, I thought we weren't gonna be printing,” said Antich.

But then, the Seahawks found a way to win.

"I threw my kid in the air and we were cheering, that's all I remember, and it was awesome,” said Antich.

And so Antich rushed to help out at work, where employees are working overtime and worked overnight.

They were planning on taking a break at 6 a.m. Monday, but decided to keep going until they run out of shirts.  They have already printed 10,000 since Sunday night, and will continue printing the shirts for weeks.

"It's good for the city, good for the economy, it's good for everybody basically,” Antich said.

The shirts they print will be available at Albertson’s and Fred Meyer as early as Monday morning.

During the next two weeks, workers said they anticipate printing more than 50,000 shirts.
