THURSTON COUNTY, Wash. — Update: Officials in Rainier said they have fixed the water main break about 9:45 a.m. that had left the entire city without service.
On the city’s website, it tells residents: “There is a boil water notice for all upper zone water customers,” and water pressure will remain low until things return to normal.
Original story: Officials in Rainier are reporting that the entire city is without water due to a water main break Wednesday.
However, it says on the city’s website: "Please bare with us as we are very actively working to get the water service restored as soon as possible!"
While not really issuing a call for everyone to get naked with them, they did tell residents the problem is being worked on and realizes the issue may create an inconvenience. Rainier is a city of about 1,800 people in Thurston County, roughly 70 miles south of Seattle.
KIRO 7 will continue to update the story as more information becomes available.
