FIRCREST, Wash. — Fire officials are investigating what caused a fire at a Fircrest apartment building.
Crews arrived at the building in the 1100 block of Emerson Street at about 7:50 a.m. Friday.
Fire was seen coming from the attic area of the building when crews arrived. The flames later burned through the roof.
The building was heavily involved in flames, but by 8:30 a.m., the main fire was out and crews were working on putting out hot spots.
Fire officials said six people escaped the fire and were not injured.
Officials said the fire appears to have damaged four units in the building.
The cause is under investigation.
