SEATTLE — It was a trail of blood that led neighbors to the body of Dyron Wayne Thompson a week ago. He was on the ground, face down and curled up in a fetal position next to a duplex on Beacon Hill.
Thompson's family was told he was stabbed. His sister, Katrice Williams said, "He got stabbed in both of his thighs and it hit his arteries." The 35-year-old man bled to death. His sister can't imagine why anyone would hurt him.
She said Thompson didn't have a problem with drugs or alcohol and he wasn't in trouble with the law. Williams said he was "humble, nice, outgoing, loving and caring." He was a stay-at-home Dad who took care of his three and four year old sons. His sister said, "We have no clue at all on who did this." A surveillance camera caught Thompson buying a beer Oct. 6 at a convenience store on 15th Avenue South and Bayview St.
That's the last time anyone saw him alive. Police are trying to track his cell phone activity and debit card transactions to find out what he was doing up until the time of his death. Katrice Williams also wants to know who he was with, whether he came into the store with anybody, or if somebody was outside waiting for him. She said Thompson was like her "other half." She wants to know what motivated someone to murder him.
