RENTON, Wash. — Up to four families were displaced after a fire broke out at a Renton apartment complex Sunday night.
Flames shot up from the second-floor balcony and ignited the two units above at the complex in the 10400 block of Southeast 174th Street.
Firefighters said the first floor may also have some water damage.
No one was hurt. Residents told KIRO 7 they helped each other get out quickly and safely.
"We were just sitting in the apartment and we heard people shouting, "Fire, fire," and we saw everyone out, so that's when we started running out as well,” said Rachna Nagarajan.
Firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire.
