SEATTLE — Police are seeking information about a hit-and-run that left a pedestrian seriously injured Saturday night.
Authorities said at 10:40 p.m., police responded to a report that someone was hit by a vehicle in the 9200 block of Rainier Avenue South.
According to police, a caller reported that the vehicle fled the scene after hitting the pedestrian in front of the Barton Place Apartments.
Another caller described the vehicle as gray.
When police and medics arrived at the scene, the 40-year-old pedestrian was treated and taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious, possibly life-threatening injuries.
Police said they could not find actual witnesses to the hit-and-run.
Detectives will continue to investigate the incident, but anyone with information is asked to call the Seattle Police Department's Traffic Collision Investigation Squad or detective Scott Schmidt at 206-684-8935.
