SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — Police searched an area of Snohomish on Tuesday morning -- for a naked man who had been armed in the past when confronted by law enforcement, according to officials.
The naked man was reportedly trespassing on a property near the 16400 block of 14th Street NE. An owner of the property called police to say he had found the nude man -- in his 20s -- hiding there.
Police say the suspect was 29-year-old Christopher Zellner -- and that he fled the area in a stolen white Dodge Caravan.
Machias Elementary was placed on lockdown as a safety precaution, and remained locked down as of 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
By 11:05 a.m., the school’s lockdown had been lifted.
The public was asked to avoid the area, though no roads had been closed, according to officials.
