Whatcom County deputies asking for help in solving 2009 murder

EVERSON, Wash. — Deputies with the Whatcom County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help in solving a murder.

Officials said Jeffrey Little was found dead in the front seat of his pickup truck around 10 p.m. on July 28, 2009, in the 3100 block of Massey Road near Everson.

Deputies and the medical examiner determined Little died after being shot three times.

Officials said that, at the time of the murder, Little had just returned home from Alaska, where he worked as a commercial fisherman.

A spokesperson for the Sheriff's Office said deputies are actively investigating Little's death and are now seeking additional information.

"Detectives would especially like to speak to anyone who spoke or saw LITTLE on the day of his death or has knowledge of his activities on July 28, 2009," Sheriff Bill Elfo wrote in a news release.
