MUKILTEO, Wash. — Firefighters battled a 2-alarm fire at a home in Mukilteo Wednesday morning.
The fire broke out at the home in the 6000 block of 88th Street South shortly before 10 a.m.
Assistant Chief Brian McMahan said access was a problem fighting the fire because the house is down a long, narrow drive on a steep slope.
When firefighters arrived, flames were coming from both the front and back of the home.
Video from Chopper 7 showed the home engulfed in flames. Most of the building was destroyed.
All the occupants escaped safely.
