LYNNWOOD, Wash. — Lynnwood police have arrested a suspect in the shooting of a man in Lynnwood early Wednesday.
Police said people were sitting in a car in the parking lot of a Shari's restaurant on Highway 99 just after midnight when somone shot at their vehicle, leaving a bullet hole in the side of the car.
A man in his 20s who was inside the car was shot in the head.
The man was transported to Harborview Medical Center as police dogs searched on the ground while other crews searched by air.
A Chevrolet pickup seen fleeing the area after the shooting was found abandoned in the 7500 block of 190th Street Southwest. It had a bullet hole in its window.
The suspect was not found, but at 10:15 a.m., Lynnwood police said that they had taken a suspect into custody.
Police haven't said if the incident was a robbery or what the motive was in the case.
The victim is in serious condition.
