VANCOUVER, Wash. — A 23-year-old man was arrested after he was caught on video shooting a stolen gun out of his car window while driving, police said.
Investigators found a YouTube video of Ronnie Wynn, who calls himself “Ron Gotti,” on his Facebook page that was filmed by a passenger. The footage shows Wynn driving his vehicle while holding a gun.
Later in the video, Wynn pointed the gun out the window and fired a random shot.
According to police, Ronnie Wynn broke into his uncle’s house and stole the handgun and an airsoft rifle.
KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Chris Francis spoke with Wynn’s mother, Carrie Wynn, about the incident.
“Very remorseful, very stupid. I wished he didn’t make the choices he did, wished he wasn’t where he’s at,” Wynn said.
Despite her son’s behavior in the video, Wynn said her son calls her from jail every day.
According to police records, Ronnie Wynn is involved with a gang and Carrie Wynn said he has struggled with drugs and got mixed up with the wrong people.
Ronnie Wynn was arrested in July after allegedly crashing a stolen car, which led police to investigate him further. Police then found the videos on his Facebook page and on YouTube.
Wynn is at the Clark County Jail facing charges in two different cases, and will be in a courtroom on Sept. 17.
