EVERETT, Wash. — Four lanes of northbound I-5 were closed after a wrong-way driver caused a serious crash Tuesday morning.
It happened near 41st St before Broadway around 9:45 a.m.
Troopers say a driver was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes and hit another car head-on. The driver who caused the crash was seriously hurt. The victim has minor injuries.
The Washington State Department of Transportation said the backup extended past SR 526.
By 11:10 a.m., all but the far right lane had reopened. All lanes reopened in the afternoon.
