Fatal collision along Mountain Highway in Graham

A young woman is dead after a fatal car collision in Graham on Christmas Eve around 7:18 p.m., according to the Washington State Patrol.

Three cars were involved in the collision along State Route 702 and State Route 7, blocking the entire intersection.

A man driving a Ford Ranger southbound on State Route 7 ran a red light, hitting the passenger side of a Chevrolet Lumina that was going westbound on State Route 702.

The impact caused the Lumina to spin and hit a Jeep Grand Cherokee going eastbound on State Route 702.

The driver of the Chevrolet Lumina, 22-year-old Jeannette Loomer out of Maple Valley, died at the scene.

The people in the Grand Cherokee had minor injuries.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, a 21-year-old man out of University Place, was arrested for driving under the influence.

Charges for vehicular homicide, driving under the influence and assault in the third degree are pending, according to the Washington State Patrol.
