The National Weather Service in Portland confirmed that a tornado hit in north Portland on Monday evening.
The tornado touched down at 5:24 p.m. with a track length of about 1 mile.
After an assessment of damage, the survey team rated the tornado an EF-0 with peak wind gusts of 80 mph. It was about 40 yards wide and was about 6 minutes on the ground.
KOIN reported that there was damage to trees and minor damage to homes.
No injuries have been reported.
