Teen injured, another arrested, after stabbing at South Kitsap High School

PORT ORCHARD, Wash. — A 14-year-old boy was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after being stabbed by a 15-year-old boy at South Kitsap High School.

Port Orchard police said the two students had an ongoing conflict and around 3 p.m. Tuesday confronted each other in the school parking lot.

During the confrontation, the students ended up exchanging punches.

According to police, the 15-year-old then pullout out a knife and stabbed the 14-year-old as the victim and his friends were trying to leave the area.

The 15-year-old suspect then went inside the high school and turned himself into the principal. He was booked into juvenile jail on suspicion of assault.

The 14-year-old victim has multiple stab wounds that are expected to be non-life-threatening.
