Surveillance video, pictures show young suspects in Lake Stevens pot shop burglary

LAKE STEVENS, Wash. — Lake Stevens Police are looking for three of four young men who stole $5,000 worth of marijuana products early Saturday morning.

Surveillance video from Cannablyss pot shop clearly shows the suspects who broke in the back door, and in a matter of minutes, grabbed as much marijuana as they could.  Little did they know that much of what they stole is for medical patients and won't get you high.

"It's a violation, not only to us, but to our patients as well," said Cannablyss employee Lindsay Graham. "They took our CBD which is non-psychoactive.  It's not going to get you high.  They took that from our patients, and that's what they use for medicinal reasons."

The back door that is now boarded up was the only wheelchair accessible entrance.  And in the process, the thieves broke the wheelchair ramp.

The store owners immediately put out the surveillance images on social media, and that led to one quick arrest.

“We put out pictures and video and had a huge response from our community,” said Cannablyss owner Jaeda Evans.  “And one of our customers saw one of the kids walking down the street and called the Lake Stevens Police Department and they were on it immediately.”

Police tell KIRO 7 that a 15-year-old was arrested Saturday.  They believe three of the four involved are under 18 years old, and they also think they know exactly who they’re looking for. %

On Facebook, someone sent the store owners a Snapchat that says "who needs bud" showing their products. They gave that teen’s name to police.

“As angry as I am,” Evans said,  “I'm also really saddened with how this could ruin their future.”
