A small earthquake, magnitude 2.5, was detected Wednesday in western Washington, near the towns of Skykomish and Darrington.
According to the Pacific Northwest Seismic Network, the quake happened 2.85 miles west-southwest from Darrington at 9:02 p.m.
The quake was reported to be about 4.7 miles under the earth.
Some people in Darrington and Rockport reported feeling the quake.
However, the earthquake event has not been reviewed by seismologists.
