Police: Man kills wife before turning gun on self

GRAHAM, Wash. — A woman and her husband are dead after a shooting at a Pierce County home Saturday.

36-year-old Kerry Anderson, the husband, was in critical condition after shooting his wife and then turning the gun on himself.

He passed away Sunday night, the Pierce County Medical Examiner said.

The shooting occurred in the 19000 block of 91st Ave. East, according to the Pierce County Sheriff's Office.

The woman was dead when police arrived on Saturday.

The couple's three children were home but not hurt during the shooting.  A 4-year-old boy called police to say her parents were on the floor after a problem at the home.

Pierce County sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer says investigators believe the man was a former member of the military.

Troyer says the man had been fired from a hospital job and suffered post-traumatic stress disorder.
