SEATTLE — Officers with the Seattle Police Police department said the reports of an armed person at the VA Hospital in Seattle Tuesday morning was a “case of mistaken identity on the part of the witness.”
At 10:15 a.m., police said they were responding to reports of an armed person at the hospital.
Pictures from KIRO 7′s Ranji Sinha showed a large presence of officers at the scene.

Just before 11:10 a.m., police confirmed it was a case of mistaken identity on the part of the witness and officers cleared the scene.
