SEATAC, Wash. — King County sheriff’s deputies say a repeat drunken driver was arrested after leaving the scene of a crash in SeaTac.

Deputies said they were called to a crash over the weekend at the intersection of South 228th Street and Military Road South where one driver rear-ended another before crashing through a fence.

Police said after the crash, the driver who flattened the fence left the scene but was pulled over a few blocks away. Deputies said his breath smelled of alcohol, he was slurring his words and admitted to causing the earlier crash.

The man was arrested for suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run. Deputies found that he was required to have an ignition interlock device on his car because of prior offenses but was driving a family member’s car without their permission or insurance.
