Renton police respond to 14-year-old girl stabbed, potentially by homeless woman

RENTON, Wash. — Renton police responded to a report of a 14-year-old girl stabbed at Shattuck Ave South and South 3rd Street around 1 a.m. on Sunday. 

When officers got there they saw the girl sitting on the northeast corner sidewalk and bleeding heavily from her left wrist. The girl also had a stab wound in the upper left chest area.

The girl wasn’t able to give any information on who stabbed her. Officers searched the area and spoke with a potential witness who said one of the local homeless women may have stabbed her.

Police are continuing to investigate.
