EDMONDS, Wash. — Edmonds police, along with the Washington State Patrol troopers, are investigating after an explosion Saturday afternoon.

Highway 99 is shut down between 238th Street Southwest and 234th Street Southwest. And 236th Street Southwest is also closed from Highway 99 to 76th Avenue West.

Authorities said remnants from a crude device were discovered.

Law enforcement searched the area for any other potentially dangerous device, officials said.

No one was injured and no damage was found, police said.
