The Snohomish County Multiple Agency Response Team is investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred early Sunday morning in Stanwood.
Deputies were dispatched to a home for a domestic violence assault call at 2:40 a.m. that ended in a shooting with one man dead. On the 911 call, the victim stated that she was assaulted by her boyfriend and that he had a weapon.
When officers arrived, the suspect was given verbal commands. One of the responding deputies then fired his weapon. The victim and her children were in a bedroom in the house at time.
The involved deputy has been placed on administrative leave according to protocol.
