SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. — A woman is dead after being struck by a car Saturday near Marysville.
Officials with the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said at 6:35 p.m. a driver was going westbound on Fire Trail Road and hit the woman believed to be in her 30s.
The victim was found by a nearby homeowner who heard the crash and came to help, troopers said.
Officials said the driver, an 85-year-old Stanwood man, remained at the scene.
The identity of the victim is expected by released by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
