KENT, Wash. — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train Thursday afternoon in Kent.
First responders were called to the downtown area and police temporarily closed all roads from South 259th Street to James Street.
Puget Sound firefighters said the victim died at the scene.
The gender or age of the person who was killed has not been released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
