SEATTLE — All lanes of Rainier Avenue are closed between 57th Avenue South and Cornell Avenue South after a mudslide caused a tree to fall.
At 8 a.m., the Seattle Department of Transportation said the road would likely be closed for several hours.
The road and sidewalk will be reopened once crews determine the area is safe.
Travelers are asked to avoid the area.
Anyone who sees fallen trees or other debris blocking streets or sidewalks in Seattle is asked to contact SDOT’s 24-hour dispatch crews at 206-386-1218.
