SEATTLE — Sweethearts and singles visiting two downtown Seattle parks will find Valentine’s Day ice sculptures to warm their hearts.
The Downtown Seattle Association is spreading some love with two, 6-foot-tall wingback ice chairs that feature large hearts that are adorned with roses.
The sculptures can be seen at Occidental Square and Westlake Park starting Monday.
One sculpture was installed at Westlake park Monday morning. The second chair at Occidental Square will be installed Monday afternoon.
Those who visit the sculptures on Valentine’s Day Tuesday can get free chocolates and roses at both parks starting at 11 a.m., for as long as supplies last.
DSA also placed five metal heart sculptures at three parks and commissioned local artists to create images depicting love. Those images were then placed on the hearts, which are on display through February in Westlake Park, Occidental Square and McGraw Square.
