Officers and detectives say they are searching for the two armed citizens who shot at suspected shoplifters Saturday in Marysville.
The incident happened at the Coastal Store in the 9600 block of State Avenue.
Police said the armed citizens confronted the suspected shoplifters and opened fire.
Investigators believe the citizens fired at the shoplifters or the shoplifters' vehicle as it was fleeing.
The citizens then left before officers arrived.
Police said the two shoplifting suspects were later located and taken into custody. Police believe they were the only two suspects.
No injuries were reported and the investigation remains ongoing.
Police said they are looking for the two citizens who opened fire to provide a statement.
