SEATTLE — The Seattle Mariners announced plans Wednesday to expand its complex across the street from T-Mobile Park with an event space and training facility called The Boxyard.

The complex across the street from the stadium already houses Hatback Bar and Grille and Steelheads Alley brewery, both of which opened in summer 2022.

A 9,500 square-foot event space called Victory Hall will be attached to the brewery, which will be available for corporate events, weddings, and more. The space will also be turned into an indoor beer garden on Mariners game days and will host other public events throughout the year.

The complex will also feature a baseball and softball training facility with eight batting cages, open field space, and “state-of-the-art technology,” according to a news release. The facility will host clinics and camps, Little League events, kids’ parties, corporate events, and pregame activities ahead of Mariners, Sounders and Seahawks games. There will also be a Mariners retail store and concession stand.

“We’re excited about the expansion of The Boxyard and hope that these new businesses will provide more economic opportunities and equitable outcomes for the broader community,” said Seattle Mariners Executive Vice President Fred Rivera. “This is only the beginning, and we’re looking forward to seeing this neighborhood continue to evolve and prosper.”

The Mariners said Victory Hall will open in time for Opening Day on March 30. The training facility is set to open later this summer.
